Location-verified temptation bundling for iPhone

Go to the gym. Earn your screen time.

Choose the apps you keep opening. Complete a gym check-in. Earn a timed Reward Pass for those apps. Check in manually for free—or let Vaulted Automatic use on-device arrival and schedules.

Vaulted verifies arrival and records elapsed check-in time—not reps, form, or effort. No camera, uploaded proof, or account. Automatic is a $29.99 one-time unlock in the U.S.; your localized App Store price controls.

How it works

Choose the apps. Set your gym. Finish the check-in.

Vaulted turns the screen time you already want into the reward for following through at the place where you meant to train.

1

Choose your apps

Social, streaming, games, dating, news—pick the iPhone apps you reach for anyway.

2

Set your gym

Save the location and check in manually for free, or let Automatic Place notice your arrival on-device. The visit ends when you leave or tap End Visit.

3

Finish, then unlock

Complete the visit, claim earned access, and open only the apps you selected.

What Vaulted verifies

Arrival, then a check-in—without filming you.

A location-only rule can unlock at the door. A rep counter makes you train for the camera. Vaulted can start a check-in at your chosen gym and makes the Reward Pass available when you end the session. It verifies arrival and records elapsed check-in time; it does not verify exercise, reps, form, effort, or that you stayed for a prescribed duration.

The science behind the trade

It is called temptation bundling.

Behavioral scientists use that name for pairing an instantly gratifying “want” with a beneficial “should.” The reward makes the hard thing better now—not only in some distant healthier future.

Read the peer-reviewed study
6,792participants in the four-week field experiment
10–14%higher likelihood of a weekly workout in the full treatment
17 weeksthe follow-up window in which effects were measured

The study paired free audiobooks and temptation-bundling instruction with an exercise program. It did not test Vaulted, Screen Time, or workout quality, and its results are not a promise of individual outcomes.

Manual vs Automatic

Try the whole trade free. Pay once to remove the remembering.

Free proves the loop with one manual Vault. Your first completed check-in starts a 14-day Automatic preview—no card, no cancellation.

Free

Manual

The complete check-in-to-reward loop, free for good.

  • One manual Vault at one place
  • Private app selection and timed Reward Passes
  • One completed check-in earns one Reward Pass
  • 30 days of progress and basic streaks
$29.99 once · U.S.

Automatic

Vaulted remembers the trigger, the routine, and the reward for you.

  • Automatic Place with on-device iOS arrival
  • Schedules, unlimited Vaults, and more places
  • Your complete history—not a rolling 30-day window
  • Weekly patterns, best days, and personal records
  • Reward Time Bank to save earned minutes for later
  • Streak Shield when real life breaks the routine
  • Portable CSV or JSON progress export

Why pay? Manual means you open Vaulted and check in. Automatic means iOS can respond to your saved gym or schedule even when Vaulted is not open. The free loop still works after the preview ends.

One-time, restorable purchase—no subscription. Exact localized price appears in Apple’s purchase sheet before you confirm.

Private by design

The bargain is with yourself. Not your data.

Vaulted needs enough local access to run the Vault you created. It does not need an account or a copy of your life.

Places stay on this iPhone

Manual checks compare locally. Automatic Place uses Apple region monitoring only when you turn it on.

Apple keeps app names private

Vaulted stores only Apple-issued opaque tokens in its private on-device App Group so the app and Screen Time extensions can enforce each Vault.

Analytics are optional

Website and in-app analytics stay off until you allow them. No ads or cross-app tracking.

Straight answers

Before you ask.

Are you telling me never to scroll again?

No. Scroll, stream, listen, play, or socialize. You choose which iPhone apps become the reward, what earns them, and how long the Reward Pass lasts.

Does Vaulted track me all day?

No. A manual check asks iOS for one current reading. Automatic Place is optional per Vault and uses Apple’s region events for the place you saved. Precise location is not sent to Vaulted’s servers.

What happens if I do not buy Automatic?

Your manual Vault, private Apple app selection, and earned Reward Passes keep working. You open Vaulted to check in instead of having iOS react to arrival or a schedule.

Can GPS or Screen Time fail?

Yes. Indoor GPS can drift and Apple can delay system events. Vaulted shows manual controls and recovery steps instead of pretending phone automation is infallible.
